摘要:To increase the cost effectiveness ofgeneration the amount of power factor should be kept ashigh as possible. For this to happen the value of reactivepower has to be as low as possible. For low power factorloads or low power factor generation systems a back toback bidirectional converter set is employed for thepurpose of power factor improvement. Voltage orientedvector control is used for the control of grid-side inverterof a back to back bidirectional converter set for this verypurpose. Vector control scheme decouples both the activeand reactive power for easy control. This schememaintains the dc-link voltage at a constant value. Thissystem also finds use in grid interfacing of renewableenergy generation systems like Wind energy generationsystem and solar energy generation system. Vector controlscheme for grid-side using P-I controllers is modeled inMatlab and the results are analyzed.
