摘要：This paper present the development ofprototype six phase induction motor using mat labsoftware and proved that the torque of this motor issuperior than that of the three phase induction motor.Three phase induction motors are standard because it’scost, robustness, reliability and maintenance freeoperation. To improve the system performance facing thelimits on power ratings of the power supplies andsemiconductors motivates the phase numbers more thanthe conventional three phases and machine output powercan be divided into two or more solid state inverters of thesame power limits. More phases bring to controladditional degree of freedom for the further improvementsof the drive system.
