摘要:The Security monitoring systems todayneeds to make use of the latest technological componentsavailable. In this paper, we present the design andimplementation of a security monitoring system based onembedded and zigbee. In this paper there is a centralizedcontrol system that is utilized for the purpose ofcontrolling the operations of various devices andequipment. The system presented in this paper is acombination of Zigbee and GSM. PIR, vibration andmagnetic contact sensors are installed at windows anddoors along with zigbee end devices. Whenever there isan intrusion, respective sensor sends a signal to the ZCusing Zigbee communication protocol. The ZC at thecontrol console communicates with MCU using its builtinUART. MCU would in turn access and control theGSM module via AT commands and automatically sendsSMS to the owner's mobile phone informing him aboutthe security breach. When the user is at his own premisesthen traditional alarm mode is used to ensure reliability.When the user is at remote premises, SMS indicating thefthas occurred is sent to the owner. Then Smart phonesinstalled with app „free Internet web cam‟ are used as asecurity camera for monitoring the home. On receivingthe SMS, user can make a video call, Smartphone camerawill feed us with a live video. On viewing the video theowner can know whether an intruder has entered or not.Then accordingly faint gas valve can be controlled by theowner. In addition the user can also control the doorlock.The system is intelligent enough to monitor thesecure environment and let the user know about thesecurity breach. Thus the remote user can control hispremises from any part of the world.
