  • 摘要:Various approaches have dedicated tomaximizing the network throughput in a multichannelmulti radio wireless mesh network. Recent solutions arebased on either purely static or dynamic channelallocation approaches. One major problem facingwireless mesh network is the capacity reduction duewireless interference. The major challenge inmultiradio multichannel wireless mesh network is theallocation of channels to interfaces of mesh routers sothat network capacity can be maximized. Currently twoapproaches of channel allocation, that is, staticapproach and dynamic approach. In static channelallocation, each interface of every mesh router isassigned a channel permanently. In dynamic channelallocation, an interface is allowed to switch from onechannel to another frequently. In proposed hybridarchitecture which combines the advantages of bothapproaches that is one interface from each uses thedynamic channel allocation strategy, while otherinterfaces use the static channel allocation strategy. Thelinks working on dynamic channels provide highthroughput paths from end-users to the gateway whilethe links working on dynamic enhance the network’sadaptability to change the traffic. Therefore, hybridarchitecture can achieve better adaptability comparedto the purely static architecture without much increaseof overhead compared to the purely dynamicarchitecture.
