摘要：Wireless ad hoc sensor networks andtransmission of data in them is a significant researcharea. Security is established in sensor networks usingdifferent types of protocols. But it is not completelypossible. One such DOS attack is Vampire attack,which makes permanent unavailability of thenetworks by draining the power of each node in thenetworks. This paper presents a method to bound thedamage caused by vampire attack by using theCluster Head. If any Vampire attack is present in thenetwork, the Cluster Head engages in the situationand delivers the packet to sink without dropping thepacket. Thus it provides a successful and reliablemessage delivery even in the presence of Vampireattack.
