  • 摘要:A Single Phase Single Stage Power FactorCorrected (SSPFC) AC/DC converter that operateswith a single controller to obtain regulated dc outputvoltage is presented in this paper. The proposedconverter integrates the operation of a boost powerfactor correction converter and a three-level DC/DCconverter into one converter. . The existing converterhas the problem of high component stress due to itsthree level structures. As the converter control is openloop a variable output voltage is not possible in theconventional system. The proposed system provides aclosed loop control for variable output voltage. TheSSPFC AC/DC converter can operate with lower peakvoltage stresses across the switches and the DC buscapacitors as it is a three-level converter. This allowsfor greater flexibility in the design of the converterand ultimately improved performance. The outputinductor of the converter can be designed to work inCCM mode over a wide range of load variation andinput voltage. This results in a lower output inductorcurrent ripple than that found in other two-levelsingle-stage converter, which ultimately results inlower peak current stresses for the secondarycomponents. . The operation of the converter isexplained and its feasibility is confirmed withexperimental result obtained from the simulation. Theresult shows that the new converter has better powerfactor for light load operation.
