摘要:The stability of Fixed Speed InductionGenerator (FSIG) based wind turbines can beimproved by a Static Synchronous Compensator(STATCOM). Under unbalanced grid voltage dips, thenegative sequence voltage causes heavy generatortorque oscillations that reduce the lifetime of the drivetrain. In this project, investigations on a Fixed SpeedInduction Generator based wind farm in combinationwith a Static Synchronous Compensator under real andreactive power compensation. A Static SynchronousCompensator control structure with the capability tocoordinate the control between the positive and thenegative sequence of the grid voltage is proposed. Theresults clarify the effect of the positive and the negativesequence voltage compensation by a StaticSynchronous Compensator on the operation of theFixed Speed Induction Generator based wind farmwith first priority, the Static SynchronousCompensator ensures power compensation ridethrough enhancement of the wind farm.
