  • 摘要:Automatic Generation Control (AGC) or LoadFrequency Control is a very important issue in power systemoperation and control for supplying sufficient and reliableelectric power with good quality. AGC is a feedback controlsystem adjusting a generator output power to remaindefined frequency. One of the objectives of AGC is tomaintain the system frequency at nominal value In thesteady state operation of power system .An extended powersystem can be divided into a number of load frequencycontrol areas interconnected by means of tie lines. Withoutloss of generality one can consider a three- area caseconnected by tie line. Here we are considering system, whichis integration of two thermal power systems with hydropower system. That is area-1 and area-2 consists of thermalreheat power plant whereas area-3 consists of hydro powerplant. The performance analysis of load frequency controlfor multi area inter connected system will be done inMATLAB/SIMULINK environment. As integration of multiarea effects performance of system study of differentcharacteristics using controllers like conventional PI ,PID,artificial intelligence FUZZY LOGIC controlling techniquesare necessary in order to determine the effective gains ofcontroller in efficient manner. And this knowledge aboutdynamic response characteristics will give us idea ofcontrolling techniques that we need to implement forobtaining required frequency response at tie line stations.
