摘要:This paper presents a cascaded H-bridgemultilevel inverter for Electric Vehicle (EV) andHybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) application. These newtype of inverter are suitable for the high powerapplication due to that the synthesize waveform withbetter harmonics and output waveform. In this, twoH-Bridge inverter are connected in series in which thesecond H-bridge inverter uses capacitor and thiscapacitor acts as a DC sources whenever the DCsupply is absent the modified PWM techniques is to bedeveloped to reduce the switching losses and also toreduce the total number of switches. To develop themodel of the multilevel inverter, a simulation is doneby using the MATLAB/SIMULINK software.
