摘要:The concept of no waste is termed as newresource through new material for value addition. Byrecycling process the waste material of bioresidues areutilized to prepare synthesized product. One of thebioresidue of ragi straw was burned under controlledtemperature and the ash was treated to synthesizebiosilica. Using sol-gel route and chemical coprecipitatemethod the biosilica were produced innanolevel.The functional groups and phaseidentification of ragi straw ash (RSA) and Biosilica(BS) were carried out through Fourier TransformInfrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and X-ray diffraction(XRD) analysis. The structural and morphologicalevaluation by Scanning Electron Microscopy-Energydispersive Spectroscopy (SEM-EDS) which confirmsthe nanosize and spherical shape of biosilica. By therecycling process, a stage of the ecological andeconomic benefits in the disposal of residues wasreached and achieved as zero waste to environment.
