摘要：The Speech is most prominent & primary mod e of Communica tio n among of human being . The communication among human computer interactio n is called human computer interface. Speech has po tentia l of being impo rtant mode o f interactio n with computer. Speech recognition is the process o f the computer identifying human speech to genera te a string of words o r command s. The outp ut of sp eech recognition systems ca n b e applied in various field s. Besides, there are many artificial intellig ent techniques ava ilable for Automatic Speech Recog nitio n (ASR) develo pment. This paper gives an overview of the sp eech recognitio n system a nd its recent prog ress. The primary objective of this paper is to compare a nd summarize some of the well known methods used in various stages of speech recognition system.
