摘要：This p aper presents a survey o f techniq ues of intrusio n detection system using supervised and unsupervised learning. The techniques are categ orized based up on different approa ches like Statistics, Data mining, Neura l Network Based and Self Organizing Ma ps Based approa ches. The detection type is bo rrowed from intrusio n detection a s either misuse detection o r anoma ly detection. It provides the read er with the ma jo r advancement in the malware research using these approa ches the features and ca tegories in the surveyed work based upon the above stated categ ories. This served as the majo r co ntribution of this p ap er.
