摘要:A new design configuration for a compact polarizing Beam Splitter (PBS) based on Photonic Crystal (PhC) is studied here using the Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) method . The influence of the structure parameters and their impact on the structure performances is thoroughly investigated. The obtained results show that using rectangular air holes in the coupling region of the PBS have a dramatic impact on performance and size of the device.
