摘要:The article deals with the problems of building up an alliance infrastructure. Despite the fact that alliances represent a growing element of business strategy, alliances between organizations often result in failure. This is partly because firms have not built up adequate capabilities to manage alliances. Beside theo- retical deliberations devoted to competences of the company, internal alliance infrastructure and its elements, the text presents alliance infrastructure in practice based on polish steel industry. Based on the experience of the companies that built up an alliance capabilities, several guidelines for implementing an effective alliance infrastructure were proposed.
