摘要:A study has been conducted to screen and multiply calluses and buds oftobacco transformed with the Soybean Mosaic Virus (SMV) coat proteingene and to induce them to plantlet formation by using MS medium withphytohormon treatments. The multiplication of calluses and buds wascarried out by sub-culturing on MS medium using 0.3 mg/L NAA+1 mg/LBAP, followed by induction of plantlet formation on MS mediumsupplemented with NAA and BAP at varied concentration. The resultsshowed that tobacco calluses transformed with SMV coat protein gene wasmultipliable on MS medium supplemented with NAA at a concentration of0.3 mg/mL and BAP at 1 mg/L concentration. In this experiment kanamycinwas used at a concentration of 100 μg/mL which resulted in the viabilitylevel of 84%. On MS medium supplemented with 0.3 mg/L NAA, 0.1 mg/LBAP, and 100 μg/mL kanamycin, induction of calluses to plantlet formationreached 20% level
