摘要：The article focuses on the phenomenon of role experimenting as an important component of contemporary adolescent culture. Main directions of foreign role theories are presented. Approaches to the interpretation of the concept of “role” in foreign and Russian psychology are discussed. An attempt is undertaken to analyze adolescent play as a possible form of role experimenting. Examples of psychological and educational research on various aspects of role experimenting as a means of development and socialization of contemporary adolescents are given
