  • 摘要:Wireless sensor networks (WSN) have large number of low-cost micro-sensors, which are used tocollect and send various kinds of messages to a base station (BS). Wireless sensor nodes are organized randomly anddensely in a target area, particularly where the physical environment is so harsh that the macro-sensor counterpartscannot be deployed. WSN consists of low-cost nodes with limited battery power, and replacing battery is complex inthousands of nodes. To solve these problems, many protocols have been proposed. We propose a Distributed Self-Organized Tree-Based Energy Balanced Routing Protocol (DSTEB), which gives a long-life work time and savesenergy by balancing WSN load. The proposed approach builds a routing tree using a process where, in each round, BSallots a root node and broadcasts this selection to all sensor nodes. Followed by, each node selects its parent byconsidering only itself and its neighbors’ information. Simulation results show that the proposed approach performsbetter than other existing approaches in balancing energy utilization, thus increasing the lifetime of WSN.
