摘要:The use of thermal power plant waste such as bottom ash is an important issue in construction industry,since it enables reduction in construction cost and has beneficial effect on the environment. Concrete with 40 % of fineaggregate was replaced by bottom ash used as bottom ash concrete. An experimental investigation was conducted tocompare the bond strength of reinforcing steel in bottom ash concrete (BAC) with controlled concrete (CC). Thisexperimental program consisted of 6 pull-out specimens (Three bottom ash concrete and Three controlled concretespecimens). The Pull-out test was carried out for these specimens based on IS: 2770 (part I) - 1967. These comparisonsindicate that BAC possesses bond strength almost same as CC. The pullout load Vs slip responses of the specimenswere identified during the test.
