摘要：Depleting the sources of petroleumpushes the researchers to find hopeful alternate for future.From the extensive study of many researchers results that,Biofuel having the potential used as fuel in compressionignition engine. Biofuel derived from Ziziphus jujuba(Indian jujube), which is the edible in nature, first timeintroduced as fuel to run single cylinder, four stroke,variable compression ratio diesel engine. Experimentalinvestigation of diesel engine was made with 20% (B20),40% (B40) and 60% (B60) blending of Ziziphus jujuba oilwith diesel for compression ratio from 15:1 to 18:1 andthe results were compared with diesel. Performanceparameters such as Specific fuel consumption, Brakethermal efficiency and Exhaust gas temperature forvarying compression ratio and blending has beenpresented.
