  • 摘要:During the last few years, natural fibershave received much more attention than ever before fromthe research community all over the world. These naturalfibers offer a number of advantages over traditionalsynthetic fibers. The main aim of this research was tostudy the feasibility of using a Vakka natural fiber asreinforcement in the development of partiallybiodegradable green and environmentally friendlycomposites. Composites consisting of polypropylenereinforced with Vakka fiber were prepared by injectionmoulding technique with varying weight fractions of fiber(0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25%). The developedVakka fiber reinforced polypropylene (PP) compositeswere then tested for their mechanical properties.
