  • 摘要:Additive Manufacturing (AM) refersto a process by which build up a component in layersby depositing material from 3D CAD data. In recentyears, Polyjet 3D printing technology has become oneof the most widely-used Additive Manufacturingmethods for various applications. This method can beused for multi material component such as functionallygradient materials, heterogeneous material structuresand porous material structures. But some of thetraditional fabrication techniques have difficulties suchas uniform & random distribution, size, shape controland maximum percentage of secondary material to theprimary material. In this work, Polyjet 3D printingtechnology is used for the fabrication of Multi MaterialAdditive Manufactured component(MMAM) withvolumetric percentages (10%, 15% and 20%) ofreinforcement as modeled using CATIA VB SCRIPTsoftware. The fabricated specimens are then tested inthree points bending to determine their improvement inflexural properties. The experimental data shows thatwhen the volumetric percentage of reinforcement (10%and 15%) used, the flexural strength and flexuralmodulus were increased compared to pure primarymaterial. Based on the experimental results, thisfabrication technique can be used for the MultiMaterial(MM) component with better bending strengthfor functional part applications.
