摘要:Friction stir processing (FSP) was used toincorporate TiO2 particles into the matrix of A356 alloy toform composite material. The mechanical properties ofthe composite material are strongly dependant AluminiumA356 on the microstructural parameters of the systemmatrix-reinforcement, a judicious selection of a certainnumber of variables has to be achieved to optimize theproperties of the composite. Different tool rotation speedof 1500 r/min and 2000 r/min and constant travel speed of30 mm/min were used in this study. The results indicatedthat the uniform distribution of TiO2 particles in A356matrix by FSP process can improve the mechanicalproperties of specimens.
