  • 摘要:Tungsten reinforced copper composite isone of the alternatives widely used in sliding contact andhigh voltage electric contact heat sink materials etc.Mechanical alloying accomplished by compaction,sintering and extrusion techniques were used to preparethe composite. It is necessary to know the tribologicalbehavior of Cu-W composite material.Wear behaviordepends on many parameters such as the weightpercentage of tungsten, sintering temperature, load andsliding distance to predict multiple material characteristicssuch as hardness, wear volume, and coefficient of friction.This paper proposes to explain and monitor the wearbehavior of Cu-W composite material using pin-on-disctest conducted under different sliding distance and at 20Nload while the velocity remains constant. The SEM &XRD analysis will be used to evaluate the characteristicsof Cu-10%W composite materials.
