摘要：Contamination in Plant tissue culture poses a serious threat to plant tissue culture industry, more thecomplex media greater the chances of contamination, so to control this contamination viz. bacterial and fungal a potentdrug methyl isothiazolinone (MIT) is used in this present study. MIT have been shown heat tolerant capacity andbacteriostatic and bacteriocidal effect on fungi and microbial contamination respectively. MIT don’t have phytotoxiceffect and give normal plant growth with controlling the contamination effectively. Normal concentration of MITcontrolling the contamination was found to be 1.5%.
