摘要：This study aims to identify the main causes of delay in construction projects. The study depends on aquestionnaire survey list for determining the probability and the severity for the main causes of delay in constructionprojects. The questionnaire consists of total factors of ten groups. These ten groups have been consisted of total 63delay factor.In this study, the authors found that most five important factor which effect on delay of the construction project are"Delay in progress payments by owner", "Poor site management and supervision by contractor", "Lack in qualifiedlabours", "Difficulties in financing project by contractor", and "Ineffective planning and scheduling of project bycontractor".A CPD Evaluation Model to evaluate the importance of each cause according to its importance index (IMP.I) and thenranking all causes was designed. The model was designed by using Virtual Basic.net.
