摘要：In this paper optimal design of two types of RC beams with two types of loading conditions that isconcentrated load and uniformly distributed loadincorporating the self-weight of the beam, equilibrium andserviceability constraints. Manually the beams have been designed using the limit state design from IS456:2000,classical and nontraditional optimization technique are done and the results are tabulated.
