  • 摘要:Refrigeration is the process of maintaining a temperature of a system lower than the temperature ofsurrounding by continuous removal of heat. Its aim being to freeze ice, cool product and space to desired temperature.The basic of modern refrigeration is the ability of liquid to absorb enormous quantities of heat as they boil andevaporate. One of the most important application of refrigeration is to produce ice for commercial application withminimum utilization of energy. Ice plant is used to produce ice from the potable water placed in standard cans in tank.It is used to produced the refrigeration effect. Ice plant is based on the simple refrigeration system which uses vapourcompression refrigeration cycle and by using this we are analysing and fabricating the ice plant. The conventional iceplant uses the R-22 refrigerant which is ozone depleting refrigerant it is harmful to our environment. In order toreplace this ozone depleting refrigerant , in this paper, R404a can be a potential HFC refrigerant replacement for newand existing system presently using R22 with minimum investment and efforts.
