摘要:Aluminium metal matrix composites (AMMCs) are potential materials for various applications due totheir good physical and mechanical properties. The addition of reinforcements into the metallic matrix improves thestiffness, specific strength, wear, creep and fatigue properties compared to the conventional engineering materials. Thispaper presents the overview of the different reinforcement materials used in AMMCs and their effects on themechanical and tribological properties like hardness, compression, tensile strength and wear resistance of the materials.
