摘要:Adsorption of COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) from synthetic tannery effluent was investigated byusing Neem Sawdust with several parameters including contact time, pH of solution and adsorbent dosages. NeemSawdust (NS) was the effective for removal efficiency reached 78% at contact time 120 minute and pH 2. The resultsinvestigated that COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) loaded Neem Sawdust (NS) biomass can be disposed of byincineration or used in furnace as a fuel. The results investigated that Neem Sawdust can be used as a good adsorbentfor the removal of COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand). Thus, the adsorbents prepared from Neem Sawdust (NS) couldbe used for removal of COD from synthetic tannery effluent.
