摘要:In today’s digital world data produced by individuals and organizations ranges from tera-bytes to zetabyteswhich is named as Big Data. But the most common difficulty for the companies is to store and analyze suchamount of data with few resources. The most prominent solution for this problem is given by Apache Hadoop thatworks in distributed environment. With increase in use of Hadoop, job scheduling has become an important factor toachieve high performance. Various scheduling algorithms are proposed in past few years for optimal utilization ofcluster resources. In this paper, a novel job scheduling algorithm is proposed which focuses on reduction of executiontime with maximum resource utilization. The results show significant decrease in completion time of a job as comparedto existing job aware scheduling algorithm.
