摘要：Even though HIV/AIDS is incurable, but it can be prevented by proper education and personal care. Takingthis with current technological advancements in mobile applications into consideration, this paper presents, a userinteractive system, HealthPlus, which is developed as an Android application to educate about HIV/AIDS withquantified results about user‟s knowledge. This application was developed considering people belonging to developingcountries where this topic is considered least significant because of several reasons like cultural taboos, social barriersand awkwardness, educational pitfalls, lack in mass communication and ignorance to health related issues. Thewidespread use of Android, via cheapest available tablets and phones like Aakash, is achieved in very short span. Thispaper shows that, the application is testified and overall improvement of 87.58% was achieved. This novel approachcan be incorporated into applications of similar nature concentrating on social awareness of diseases or syndromes.
