  • 摘要:The structural, electrical and morphological properties of Poly (Methyl Methacrylate) (PMMA) complexedwith magnesium perchlorate (Mg(ClO4)2) were investigated. The effect of addition of nanofiller, fumed silica (SiO2)(1.29 nm) was also studied. The analysis of Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) spectra of the samplesrevealed that there was complexation between PMMA and Mg(ClO4)2. It also revealed the plasticizing action of fillersin the electrolyte and hence the structural changes of systems studied. XRD Studies indicated the better dissolution ofMg(ClO4)2 in PMMA matrix. The amorphous nature of the polymer electrolyte has been enhanced by theincorporation of nano sized SiO2. Analysis by impedance studies showed that the two conductivity maxima have beenobserved for 2 and 10wt% of SiO2 added system. The morphological changes have been observed through AFMstudies.
