摘要：ICT security has been one of the major causes of problems in the world in that billions of dollars are lostevery year because of cyber terrorism that has become a way to destroy the world in just a few seconds, neverthelessUniversities are not exception to this kind of terrorism, that’s why they are encouraged to ensure strict ICT securitywithin the University campus. This research study aimed at describing the critical need for ICT security in Universitiesand to show that ICT security can affect academic progress in Universities. The population of study comprised of ICTacademic personnel (Lecturers, Technicians, and Lab-Attendants). Findings showed that there is a strong relationshipbetween academic activities and ICT security. Therefore, without a well-secured ICT security, a University can come toa standstill.
