  • 摘要:Polymer mortar possesses a unique combination of properties that depend upon the formulation. Mortaris a workable paste used to bind construction blocks together and fill the gaps between them. In this study the variouspolymer mortar mixture components and their effect on the properties are reviewed. The effect of resin content,aggregates, fillers was critically reviewed. Repair and restoration work of reinforced–concrete structures is increasingbecause of the deterioration of aging infrastructures and aggressive environmental condition worldwide. Polymermortar by virtue of their high strength, excellent durability and easy processing has gained acceptance. The bindercontent in polymer mortar varies from five to fifteen percentages by weight of the mix. The aggregates are normallytaken as inert materials dispersed throughout the polymer matrix. Ferro composites manufactured using polymer mortarare used for chemical storages, pipes, etc. A thin overlay of five mm can be applied on the top of the existing concreteand Ferro cement to improve its durability. Polymer mortar and concrete are related to new liquid resin such aspolyester, epoxy as binding material with aggregates. The properties such as setting shrinkage, thermal properties,temperature dependence, lightweight are taken care in respect of lightweight, porous polymer mortar. In this paper thework in respect of polymer mortar so far analyzed is discussed in detail.
