  • 摘要:Linkedin has become one of the most known social networking portals in termsof global professional connections, networking, job postings, hiring and muchmore in relevance to employment opportunities. This research was an attemptto identify the utility of Linkedin on selection and recruitment. Also, this studyhas taken the employers’ and the prospective candidates for job andemployees’ perspective, including factors such as recruitment, selection, jobopportunities, internal official communication on Linkedin, professionalnetworking, ease of access, less expensive communication tool etc. Linkedinusers (285 respondents) were randomly selected from the region of Karachiand were provided the employer’s and employee’s survey questions to be filledrespectively. The results revealed that Linkedin is still not adopted inbusinesses for the recruitment purposes. It is currently being used by somegiant multinational companies for job postings, recruitment and maintainingprofessional connections
