摘要：Binarization is the preliminary process of Document Image Analysis and Processing. Image binarization is performed through Local and Global threshold methods. In this paper local thresholding method Nilblack method with post processing was implemented. The Nilblack algorithm was implemented using Matlab and tested with a sample of ground tooth images selected from TOBACCO research database.
