标题:The Contribution of Organisational Citizenship Behavior on Students’ Study Groups Achievement at the Tertiary Level, A case of University for Development Studies (UDS)
出版社:International Institute for Science, Technology Education
摘要:Organisational Citizenship behavior (OCB) is an organizational construct that have been measured in various ways in research works and have been empirically found to enhance individual and group performance in non-educational organizations. The aim of this research was to test OCB in the educational organization setting using student learning groups to assess the contribution of OCB on students’ group achievement. By employing the experimental design, two groups (controlled group and non-controlled group) were used to measure the effect of OCB intervention on students’ group achievement. The results showed that there was significant association between OCB and students’ academic achievement however there was no significant difference between students previous and current achievement for both groups, even after the intervention. It was recommended that future studies should extend the experimental period since it takes longer time for some people; by nature; to adjust to new behaviors.
