摘要：The aim of this study is to study the importance of in-service teaching training program in teacher’s professional development. Continuous Professional development of teacher is the key factor in successful teaching and learning process. It helps teachers to keep abreast of changes in teaching learning process. It enables teacher to have awareness of the advancement in technologies and the development of curricula and instructional mode. In-service teacher training programs play significant role in teacher continuous professional development. It is systematic attempt to bring about changes in the classroom practices and also in teacher’s beliefs and attitude. It includes all the practices and experiences that teacher undergo after joining teaching profession. It is one of the important ways to develop quality education system.
