摘要：In recent years within the scope of ‘preventive approach in dentistry’ or ‘non-invasive approaches’ ozone applications as a new treatment modality has been raised. The oxidation reaction resulting from the presence of ozone molecule makes ozone a strong biocidal agent which destroys the cell walls of bacteria. The aim of this review was to introduce the basic properties of ozone and its effects on the dynamics of dental caries and to provide information on the usage of ozone according to caries types.
