摘要:Safe food is the indispensable necessity of modern society. All ov er the world, authorities impose restrictions and make new legal arrangements for making sure that food sold to customers is safe. Due to the extensive public concernments and legal restrictions, it is essential to continuously track the food manufacture and processing, and to get fast and reliable results in order to protect both the consumer and the manufacturer. For these reasons, rapid test methods are considered as a requirement. Among the rapid test me thods, biosensors, deve loped by int erdisciplinary st udies that rely on adv anced technologies, play an important role. Within the context of this review paper, biosensor applications for food safety and food qualit y are explored; the advantages and disadvantages of biosensors and their future are discussed.
