摘要：A primeira metade do século XX caracteriza-se pelo processo intenso de industrialização do medicamentoe pelo aparecimento de novos grupos terapêuticos medicamentosos.Neste trabalho os autores dãoa conhecer resultados da investigação em curso sobre o processo histórico de regulamentação do medicamentoem Portugal, sublinhando a criação da Comissão Reguladora dos Produtos Químicos e Farmacêuticos –CRPQF (1940) e as leis sustentadas na argumentação científica cujos objetivos eram beneficiar a saúde dapopulação, melhorar a qualidade do medicamento e regular jurídica e economicamente o sector.As principais fontes utilizadas foram os diplomas legislativos, documentos do Arquivo do Infarmed, I.P., periódicosfarmacêuticos e publicações do Infarmed, I.P.
其他摘要：The first half of the 20th century witnessed an intense process of drug industrialization and theinvention of new therapeutic groups.In this paper, the authors present the results of an ongoing investigation about the historical process of drugregulation in Portugal, highlighting the creation of the Comissão Reguladora dos Produtos Químicos e Farmacêuticos– CRPQF (Regulatory Commission of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Products – 1940) and the lawsfounded on scientific reasoning, whose goals were to benefit population health, to better the quality of drugsand to regulate this sector both legally and economically.The main sources were the legal diplomas, documents from8 the Infarmed, I.P. archive, pharmaceutical journalsand Infarmed, I.P. publications.
