摘要：Figura incontornável da medicina e saúde pública entre o último quartel do século XIX e a primeirametade do século XX, Ricardo Jorge constitui, por si só, tema de abordagem obrigatório quando nosdebruçamos sobre a história do higienismo na contemporaneidade portuguesa. Frequentemente, mas de ummodo ainda parcelar ou tematicamente circunscrito, escreve-se e disserta-se sobre esta figura.Com este artigopretende-se reflectir criticamente sobre a História que se fez em torno de Ricardo Jorge, dando a conhecer umprojecto de investigação biobibliográfico em curso,especialmente dedicado à integralidade da sua vida e obra.
其他摘要：Much has been written and lectured about Ricardo Jorge. As an eminent figure in the field ofmedicine and public health between the last quarter of the nineteenth century and the first half of thetwentieth century, Ricardo Jorge is himself an object of research when we look back on the history of hygieneand public health in Portugal. This article intends to critically reflect on the historiography that was madearound him, as part of an ongoing bio-bibliographic research project.
