摘要：Richard Poll's Iron Rod-Liahona view of LDS religious orientation is addressed in a study of Utah and Illinois Mormons. Measures are developed, and discrete and continous scaling is examined. Of the demographic variables considered, only age influenced participants' Iron Rod-Liahona score. The measures are compared to the views of religious orientation held by Allport and Batson. Significant correlations exist between the Iron Rod- Liahona orientations and most of the traditionally used measures, with Allport's Extrinsic orientation being an exception.
