摘要：In this paper the author considers the issue of press freedom and compares Canada to what is probably its closest constitutional cousin, Australia. He argues that although Australia has no national bill of rights, constitutional or statutory, there is at least as much press freedom, and indeed scope for citizens to speak their minds, as there is in Canada with its Charter of Rights.
