摘要:The article deals with modern methods of propaganda in the protracted local conflict between the Democratic People's Republic and the Republic of Korea. Materials in use in this article are the mass media archives, official records of the states and international organizations, as well as scientific publications. General scientific methods (analysis and synthesis, concretization, generalizations) and traditional methods of historical analysis were used in solving research tasks. We worked with the historical-situational method that involves the study of historical facts in the context of the era, applied to the "neighboring" events and facts. In particular, this method has been used extensively in examining the role of propaganda in the Cold war between the DPRK and the ROK. In conclusion, the author notes that in the context of the Cold war, propaganda is an effective means of psychological pressure. On the example of the conflict between North and South Korea the use of sound broadcasting can be seen, as well as launching balloons with humanitarian aid on the territory of North Korea.
