  • 摘要:The objective of this article was to identify if Information Technology and Communications (ICT) are integrated to student in their acquisition of knowledge at public universities in the Bajío (Mexico). A quantitative method was used and was conducted in an exploratory study with a stratified sample of 3403 students in a population of students enrolled in public universities in different degrees. Participated one University in San Luis Potosi, one in Queretaro and another in Guanajuato. The investigation revealed that even when students are digital natives the use given to the tools of Information Technology and Communications (ICT) in the Web 2.0 in education is low, they are only receivers of information but their participation in the knowledge society is scarce. This investigation allows understand the status of the use of technological tools and create strategies that enable students to have greater collaboration in knowledge and are prosumers (who produce and consume information on the web) of the information.
