摘要:This paper explores causes of failure in students of second semester in Health Program careers (Medicine, Nursing, Physical Activity and Sports) at Universidad Autonoma de Baja California, in Ensenada, Mexico. 49 students who failed were identified; they were applied an exploratory and descriptive research design, whose results allowed to determine that the major causes of failure were due to the students’ academic performance; deficient study techniques; little time for academic activities; and stress before term exams. In addition to the aforementioned reasons, most of the students do not ask the teacher to clarify doubts. From these results, a variety of strategies are recommended in order to avoid failures in the Health Program.
