摘要:An education system worldwide have matched the actions and precepts driving the need to recognize a subject capable of generating self-regulating mental activity to access the self-awareness of what to do and makes to an intellectually demanding task elements. The purpose of this article is to describe and analyze the contributions from cognizant of the strategic research practice in online learning in Latin America to guide the understanding and importance of this construct for educational systems in the region. The methodology was based on a bibliographic research supported by the performance of three interviews with prominent American researchers on the line. The findings demonstrate that enable strategic learning has evolved from its early assertions as a metacognitive element that allowed the promotion of competition, learning to learn to become the XXI century a fundamental element of lifelong learning.
