摘要:Almost 2,500 years ago Socrates and Plato spent their lives promoting the thought that "there is nothing at the same time finer and more practical than the truth." 1 ªôeir key word was "aletheia"¡ªusually translated "truth," or the disclosure of obscured or hidden reality. Humanists have championed and pursued the idea ever since. Most men and women of science share that humanist commitment.
