摘要：The outcome document of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development held in Rio de Janeiro in June20–22 (Rio +20 Summit) is called “The Future We Want” (FWW). Several months before the Summit,the Report of the UN Secretary–General´s High-Level Panel on Global Sustainability entitled “ResilientPeople Resilient Planet: A Future Worth Choosing” (RP) was launched. In both of these two importantdocuments and within the preparatory process and several follow-up activities the role of science-basedquantitative information, analysis and indicators was stressed. We would like to focus on four areas. Ouranalysis will be based primarily on the appropriate paragraphs from the aforementioned documents.
